‘Name The Teddy’ is free to enter and prizes will be delivered free of charge to the winner. We may send you occasional email updates on the status of the competition - your entry into the competition is an acceptance of receipt of such emails. Furthermore, any email address you give us is taken as acceptance of receipt of occasional future emails which we think might interest you.

Premium SMS Service

To find out the gender of a name when you havenʼt got access to a computer, text ʻGENDER + the nameʼ to 81066. We will then send you back a single message telling you the gender of that name. The receipt of this message will cost you 50 pence. The service will not repeat bill your phone - it is a once only charge per text.

Due to varying name usage across different cultures, we cannot always guarantee that the gender we report will be correct since cultural variations surrounding names are not always captured in our database. Though we cannot accept liability for direct or indirect damages caused by incorrect reports from our database, we are always willing to offer a refund if you believe that you have received an inadequate level of service.

To claim a refund of your 50 pence text charge, please do contact us along with details of your complaint, your mobile telephone number and some evidence that the gender report was erroneous. Upon receipt of this information, we will be happy to reimburse you via either cheque or BACS payment.
